You can still be a part of this very special project, sending out a message of self-love, empowerment and strength. The Foundation is pleased to continue Marsha’s legacy with a campaign to enlighten, educate and empower women and youth in high risk situations, raising awareness of the initiatives of MEMF; what we stand for and who the Foundation supports.
Here is what you can do to help…
INSTRUCTIONS:
-Write (or have someone write) “I MATTER!” somewhere on your body (please use discretion.)
-Have a friend take your picture. We must be able to read the words, so please make sure it’s written big enough, and that the camera is close enough. The photo must be in focus!
*File types: JPEG high Res preferred*
-Email the picture to memfcalgary@gmail.com
-Be sure to write in the Subject: “YOUR NAME HERE ‘I MATTER!’ Photo”
IMPORTANT!
In the body of the above email, please include:
-Your full name
-Your age (must be 18+ to participate or accompanied by an adult in your photo and/or have the email come from a consenting guardian of legal age!) This is a great project for kids and guardians, moms and tots, a Family photo with ‘I MATTER!’ written on everyone!
-Your contact phone number
-Your permission to The Marsha Ellen Meidow Foundation to use the photo.
It really is that simple!!!
NOTE: The photo you submit becomes the property of the Marsha Ellen Meidow Foundation and the “I MATTER!” campaign to be used in promotion and potentially print materials.
**Please wait and do not post your ‘I MATTER!’ photo on Facebook or any other social media. WE WILL ADVISE YOU OF THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH DATE AND, WITH YOUR HELP, WE WILL COLLECTIVELY DRAW MUCH MORE ATTENTION TO THIS CAMPAIGN IF WE ALL POST TOGETHER!!! Please stand by for the official date – we will send you an email!**
Thank you for all your love and continued support.

A year ago today we lost a Warrior, a Women’s Rights Advocate, a Humanitarian, a Counselor, a Listener, a Healer, an Explorer, a Raven Haired Beauty, a Friend, a Confidante, a Sister, a Girlfriend, an Aunt and a Daughter. Words can not express the heartfelt sorrow felt across an ocean, a country and within our community from this loss. Her spirit hasn’t left, she still walks this Earth beside all of us. Even in her last hour she helped people of whom she had never met. These people are alive today, living an enriched and empowered life because of her. Our lives are enriched, empowered, enlightened because of her. Let your hearts feel her comfort when you remember her smile, her voice, dancing with her or when you gaze at her picture. She will always be thought of and will NEVER be forgotten.
On behalf of the Marsha Ellen Meidow Foundation,
with all of our love and pain, sorrow and joy, tears and smiles,
We miss you Marsha Ellen Meidow!
